In south-western Bulgaria, near the town of Petrich, located, at first glance, an inconspicuous village Rupite. In the village there are no monuments of architecture, no big and ancient temples or special museums. But it was this village that was the site of the pilgrimage of many suffering people. It was here that the famous seeress-woman Wanga lived and helped people. She was the founder of this small settlement, since she was the founder of this small settlement, already famous, she persuaded the local authorities to build a house for her near the Kozhukh hill.
This hill is an ancient volcano that feeds its waters with several mineral springs forming several warm mineral lakes. Besides the main objects of the excursion, we visit all the nearby attractions, the town of Melnik and the Rozhen monastery, with a stop for lunch in one of the restaurants with traditional Bulgarian cuisine. Free time to buy souvenirs for friends and family. At the end of the excursion, after lunch, return to the hotel.
