Step off the beaten track and into real Bulgaria — not from a bus window, but behind the wheel of a 4×4 jeep. This off-road expedition explores mountains, glacial lakes, ancient ruins, forests, fishing spots, caves, and folklore evenings — all through winding backroads that few tourists ever see.

Each day brings a new landscape, new emotion, and a fresh dose of freedom, adrenaline, and authentic Balkan charm.

Day 1: Arrival in Sofia — Rila Monastery & Bansko

Your journey begins with a warm welcome at Sofia Airport. From there, we drive into the mountains to visit Bulgaria’s most iconic landmark — the Rila Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After soaking in its sacred beauty, we head to Bansko, a charming alpine town, to check in and enjoy a traditional Bulgarian dinner.

Day 2: Into the Pirin Mountains — Ruins, Waterfalls & Forest Picnic

Today’s adventure starts with an off-road ascent to panoramic viewpoints with views of snow-capped peaks. We explore the ruins of an ancient city lost in the mountains, visit two high-altitude lakes, and cool off at a waterfall before ending with a forest picnic surrounded by pristine nature.

Day 3: Bear Sanctuary, Trout Fishing & Spa Time

We head toward Rila National Park to visit a unique sanctuary for rescued brown bears. Next, we stop at a trout farm, where you can catch your own lunch — cooked fresh on-site. After a playful day, we return to the hotel for well-earned rest in the spa: pool, sauna, and full relaxation.

Day 4: Rhodope Mountains — Forest Legends & Village Stay

The road takes us deep into the mystical Rhodope Mountains. We wind through untouched forests and hidden trails, guided by local stories and legends. After a peaceful picnic, we arrive in a traditional Rhodope village for a warm evening with home-cooked food and stories shared by locals.

Day 5: Lake Day — Swimming, Fishing & Caves

We continue through wild passes to reach a peaceful lake, where the day is dedicated to rest: swimming, fishing, walking, and enjoying a scenic lunch by the water. Later, we explore one of Bulgaria’s grandest cave systems — full of echoing halls, stalactites, and ancient natural formations. We spend the night by the lake in complete serenity.

Day 6: Final Mountains, Spa, and a Folklore Celebration

On the way back, we travel one last time through panoramic mountain trails, then stop at a luxury spa resort for deep rest in thermal pools, saunas, and jacuzzis. In the evening, we gather for a festive folklore dinner with live music, traditional dance, and hearty Bulgarian cuisine — the perfect farewell celebration.

Day 7: Sofia Walk & Departure

The tour ends in Sofia, where we enjoy a relaxed city walk through the capital’s historic center — cathedrals, cafés, and boulevards. There’s free time for souvenirs and last photos before your transfer to the airport, taking home memories filled with mountains, people, and real adventure.
