Embark on an 8-day off-road adventure that takes you deep into the soul of the Balkans. From the pine-covered mountains of Bulgaria to the dramatic canyons and ancient villages of North Macedonia, this journey offers untouched nature, rich culture, and the thrill of driving a true 4×4 through remote landscapes.

You’ll travel mountain passes, explore ancient ruins and lakes, ride through forests and hidden valleys, fish your own trout, relax in natural spas, and cross into Macedonia where the journey continues with cave explorations, canyon cruises, and mountaintop panoramas over three countries.

Each day is a chapter in a real-life adventure — driven by you, guided by locals, and filled with unforgettable experiences.

Day 1: Arrival in Bulgaria — Vitosha Park & Bansko

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome in Sofia. From there, we drive to Vitosha National Park to explore the “Golden Bridges” — a striking river of stones flowing through pine forest. After a relaxing nature walk, we continue to the mountain resort town of Bansko for hotel check-in and a cozy traditional Bulgarian dinner.

Day 2: Off-Road in Pirin National Park — Lakes, Waterfalls & Ancient Ruins

Today, the off-road journey begins. You’ll drive a fully equipped jeep through Pirin National Park, visiting panoramic viewpoints, alpine lakes, and hidden waterfalls. Along the way, discover ancient ruins nestled deep in the mountains. Stop for a picnic with fresh local food before returning to Bansko in the evening for rest and dinner.

Day 3: Bear Sanctuary, Trout Fishing & Mountain Spa

The route continues toward Rila National Park. Visit a sanctuary where rescued brown bears roam free in their natural habitat. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a trout farm — catch and eat your own fish! The day ends with well-deserved relaxation in a spa with pools, saunas, and wellness treatments.

Day 4: Pirin Passes, Whitewater Rafting & Into North Macedonia

We leave Bansko and cross stunning mountain passes toward the river for an exhilarating 13 km rafting adventure through untouched nature. After riverside lunch, we continue to the border, crossing into North Macedonia. Check into a new hotel and unwind as the next chapter begins.

Day 5: Macedonian Mountains & Timeless Villages

Drive through breathtaking Macedonian landscapes: crystal-clear lakes, dense pine forests, and villages where life follows centuries-old traditions. The route winds through quiet valleys far from the tourist path. In the evening, arrive at a peaceful mountain hotel for a warm dinner and restful sleep.

Day 6: Matka Canyon Boat Tour & Skopje City Stroll

We start the day with a boat ride through the magical Matka Canyon — a narrow gorge with towering cliffs and green waters. Visit hidden caves with ancient rock formations before heading to the capital, Skopje. There, you’ll walk through its historic center, ending the day with a delicious dinner at a traditional restaurant.

Day 7: Mountain Peak with Panoramic Views & Return to Bulgaria

Today we climb to one of the highest peaks in the region, offering a jaw-dropping view over Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Serbia. After descending, we drive back into Bulgaria and return the jeeps in Bansko. The day concludes in Sofia with a festive folklore dinner featuring local music, dancing, and cuisine.

Day 8: Sofia City Walk & Departure

Depending on your flight time, enjoy a relaxed city walk through Sofia — visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Church of Saint Sofia, and local markets. There’s also time for shopping before your transfer to the airport.
